Women Economic Empowerment Advisory Trust
WEEAT is dedicated to transforming the economic landscape for women across Rwanda by providing skills training, financial access, and community networks that build lasting prosperity.
Our Mission
WEEAT believes that when women thrive economically, entire communities flourish. Through advisory services, mentorship, and targeted interventions, we work to remove barriers and unlock the full potential of women entrepreneurs, smallholder farmers, and community leaders.

What We Do
We deliver comprehensive programs that address economic empowerment at every stage of a woman's journey.
Supporting women farmers with modern techniques, cooperative structures, and market access.
Business skills, financial management, and mentorship for women-owned enterprises.
Building VSLAs and cooperative finance mechanisms for economic independence.

Who We Are
WEEAT is a Rwandan-based NGO committed to creating sustainable economic pathways for women. Founded on the belief that empowered women are the cornerstone of a prosperous nation, we work at the intersection of agriculture, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and community development.
Our approach is holistic — we combine practical training, advisory support, and linkages to finance and markets. We serve adolescent girls, young mothers, widows, rural farmers, and women entrepreneurs, tailoring our interventions to the unique challenges each group faces.
A Rwanda where every woman has the economic power, knowledge, and community support to lead a dignified and prosperous life.
To provide advisory services, skills training, and strategic partnerships that empower women economically and drive community development from within.
Real impact, real lives — stories of transformation through WEEAT's programs across Rwanda.
Our Impact
Behind every WEEAT program is a woman who dared to dream bigger. These stories reflect our impact-driven approach, strategic partnerships, and dedication to empowering women and girls across Rwanda.

Through skills development, mentorship, and savings groups, women gain confidence, build income-generating activities, and strengthen their role in family and community decision-making.

WEEAT creates safe spaces for women and girls to share experiences, inform program design, and strengthen advocacy for practical, gender-responsive solutions.

WEEAT supports teen mothers to regain confidence, rebuild livelihoods, and reintegrate socially and economically within their communities.
How We Work
WEEAT's programs follow a clear, phased approach that ensures interventions are responsive, sustainable, and community-owned.
Consulting local leaders, women's groups, and community members to understand economic barriers and opportunities.
Participatory training covering technical skills, business management, financial literacy, and leadership.
Facilitating VSLAs and linking groups to financial institutions for larger credit access.
Connecting participants with buyers, processors, markets, trade fairs, and collective supply agreements.
Tracking income changes, business growth, savings growth, and women's decision-making power.
